The Writers’ Centre Norwich needed a new, inspirational website. It had to reflect their enormous range of work and create a must-visit literary destination online, ready their transition into a National Centre for Writing in 2018.
The present site had become hard to use and hid important information. Sadly, this affected tickets sales and donations. As a charity with no money to burn, the Writers’ Centre needed this sorted and fast.
We solved the site’s usability with improved, logical user journeys aided by a visual design that was bold, modern and compelling. And we developed bespoke features, giving the new site an advanced search functionality along with a unique events calendar with filterable categories.
Visitors to the new Writers’ Centre website can now easily find what they need. Whether that’s how to become a professional writer, book an event or a course or how to make those all-important donations.
After the new site went live, we received glowing feedback from staff, board members, and more importantly, the users themselves. And we were rewarded with a new commission to create another site for the WCN, for their International Literature Showcase.
